Central Arizona Rainbow Equality Presents Casa Grande Gay Day Central Arizona Rainbow Equality is bringing Casa Grande Gay Day on September 26, 2009. Live music performances by Brandi Amorose, Geoffrey Pars, and Mark Pedrasa. The event is free admission all day, and is for all ages.

The event will be hosted by Barbra Seville, Miss Gay Arizona 200, and Chane Jordan, Miss Phoenix Pride 2009. To keep the energy high, Gay Day will also feature drag performances by Devina Ross, Sasha Bratz, Afeelya Bunz, and Felicia Minor.

“Pride on the Rocks”

September 7, 2009: The Sedona Pride Association board of directors and the LGBT community is excited to announce its inaugural Pride Celebration, “Pride on the Rocks”.

“Pride on the Rocks” will be held, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Relic’s Restaurant and Nightclub, formerly Rainbow’s End, 3235 West Highway 89A, Sedona, AZ, Sedona’s oldest continually operating restaurant and nightclub. “Pride on the Rocks” will be conducted on the property of Relics as well as inside. The event will be from 11-7 p.m. with dance to follow at 9 p.m. Entry fee for Pride is $10; cost of dance is $5.

The Sedona Pride Association is a not-for-profit organization (501 (c) 3 application pending) whose mission is to promote friendship and community for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender men and women of Sedona, the Verde Valley, and Greater Northern Arizona, and provides a safe and supportive environment for open self-expression.

The Sedona Pride Association started through grassroots efforts to educate, create awareness and help build community.

We are looking forward to providing you with an outstanding line up of entertainment hosted by Afeelya Bunz and Mya McKenzie. Introducing, Karl Jones, Sal Landers, Sir Harrison and the Blues Kings, Miss Lolita’s and Pepper MaShay. Indoor activities will include speed dating brought to you by Missing Puzzle Piece, LLC.

· Weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 PM join the LGBT community for some camaraderie and drink specials at RED’S.

Notice anything missing from my rear window? Somebody peeled off my rainbow fag flag! Who would do such a thing? Some other gay guy, too cheap to buy his own pride sticker? Hmmm, I doubt it.

Just when I thought America was beginning to accept the gay community, something like this happens. I just can’t imagine the thoughts going through this person’s head while they’re peeling off the sticker.

I recall driving home from the Dodge dealer in my shiny new truck, I had to stop at Unique on Central to pick up a rainbow flag bumper sticker to christen my new ride. One of our friends commented on the sticker, “Jeeze, He already gayed-it-up!”
